Hokey Pokey Elmo is in the middle of a price
war. It seems he was supposed to retail for about $29.99.
"Wal-Mart dropped the price to $19.99," says Jim
Silver, co-publisher of Toy Wishes magazine. The result was
that other stores started dropping their price on Elmo, meaning
that Elmo is more affordable and more in demand. "There's
no way there's going to be the supply needed to fill the pipeline,"
says Silver. He predicts they will be gone by Thanksgiving.
